Update: Women Empowerment Training II

All glory to the King eternal, the immortal God who has given us the grace to be of help to our displaced sisters and mothers from Southern Cameroon.

For quite a while now the agitation for self-rule by the Anglophone region of Cameroon has brought untold hardship to the people especially women and children. 23 of these women who are currently taking refuge in Gembu, my former mission were brought together to learn the skill of soap making and petroleum jelly and most importantly, given materials to jump-start their business.
With this training and the one of February, we have empowered 38 women. We have 12 more women to empower so as to hit our 50 women mark for this project. 
These women would continue to make and sell their products while in Nigeria.
There's no way I could have been of any use to them without your generous giving and prayers.

PRAYER POINTS/THANKSGIVING
i. Join us thank God for making the two batches of 2019 training possible
ii. Ask God to give us rain at the appropriate season.
iii. Pray for protection from the Fulani herdsmen as we prepare for farming.
iv. Pray that situation Southern Cameroon will normalize to allow our neighbors to return home.
v. Thank God for Helen's health we have not experienced any crisis since she started the daily medication. We thank God for providing money for her monthly doctor's appointment in Jos Plateau State, a day's journey from our home.
vi. Our next and final batch of training comes up by June. Ask God to protect and guide us through the entire process.

Small Business Training for Women 2.15.21

  Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am delighted to inform you that the first batch of women's empowerment training went well. Let me apologize for the pictures. Some of the qualities are not quite as good as the previous year, so I decided to attach a lot of them so you have options. Also included is a short video of the training. Twenty women, including out-of-school girls and internally displaced adults, gathered at Murya, Nasarawa State, to learn how to make hair cream and Vaseline. They were also given seed capital to help them start their businesses. Women Empowerment Training 3.22.21

  Greetings, in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, The last and final batch of the training went well to the glory of God. Our goal was to train 20 vulnerable rural Christian women and out-of-school girls but we had 7 more women in attendance who were not enrolled in the program but wanted to be a part of it. We only offered them the training and could not provide any start-up capital as our budget did not cover them. The objective of our project is to provide sustainable and transformative business opportunities for poor rural women and out-of-school girls. Also, the women were trained to make the rocket stove in addition to the baseline, which they would produce as a source of income for their families. Let me apologize for the pictures.
