Update on the Farm Project

Dear Brethren,

It is with regret but with gratitude to God that I write to inform you of the passing of a way Mr. Mathias Kwatha. 
 
Brother Mathias was displaced from his ancestral home to Taraba State by the Islamic terrorists in northern Nigeria and now finally displaced by illnesses to his eternal home where there will be no more displacement. Mathias was a beneficiary of the farm project. Late Mathias is survived by his wife and seven children to mourn him.
 
Helen and I visited with the family to pray and assisted with a small amount of money. 
The good news is that Matthias left behind a cornfield for his family. The produce from this farm will serve as food and source of income for Lydia his wife, and the children.
 
In all, I am thankful to God for the corn yields. Hopefully by November ending harvest will commence.
 
Once again thank you for giving to support the farm project.

Small Business Training for Women 2.15.21

  Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I am delighted to inform you that the first batch of women's empowerment training went well. Let me apologize for the pictures. Some of the qualities are not quite as good as the previous year, so I decided to attach a lot of them so you have options. Also included is a short video of the training. Please play the video so you can hear my voice again after all these years. Twenty women, including out-of-school girls and internally displaced adults, gathered at Murya, Nasarawa State, to learn how to make hair cream and Vaseline. They were also given seed capital to help them start their businesses. The session began with a Bible study to provide a background for a holistic approach to the ministry of caring for the soul and body.  The community leader was represented by Rev. Women Empowerment Training 3.22.21

  Greetings, in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, The last and final batch of the training went well to the glory of God. Our goal was to train 20 vulnerable rural Christian women and out-of-school girls but we had 7 more women in attendance who were not enrolled in the program but wanted to be a part of it. We only offered them the training and could not provide any start-up capital as our budget did not cover them. The objective of our project is to provide sustainable and transformative business opportunities for poor rural women and out-of-school girls. Also, the women were trained to make the rocket stove in addition to the baseline, which they would produce as a source of income for their families. Let me apologize for the pictures.
